Abigail’s gooey chocolate cake

A mid-morning meeting talking turkey with a client left me with a fancy for something sweet. On the walk back to Farringdon tube station I found Abigail’s Kitchen. Within a few seconds of walking through the door Abigail’s sister had sweet-talked me into trying their chocolate cake with my espresso. She said she loved it, and she promised me I would too. She wasn’t wrong; it was dark, rich, very chocolaty and most importantly for me, nice and moist. It helped my espresso go down a treat. (The coffee was good too). There was a steady stream of customers coming in for coffees, snacks, sandwiches, paninis and hot food – the place has obviously got a good reputation. And the atmosphere’s nice and calm, just the way I like it when I want to unwind with a notebook full of notes. And, they’ve got the internet as well, what more could you ask for?

When you go there, tell them the guys from Lumpy Mash sent you.
