Motorway services’ delusions of grandeur

I stopped at a KFC at a motorway services on the way back from football on Sunday evening. Picture the scene, a small area of Formica-topped tables littered with previous customers’ discarded packaging and food debris. Imagine my bemusement when, after ordering my 2 chicken piece meal, my server asked if that was a takeaway or would I be ‘dining in’?
