Brogdale Farms Cherry Festival

9-10 July, Brogdale Farm, Faversham, Kent

It’s cherries galore at Brogdale Farm, the National Centre for fruit. Set in beautiful orchards in the Garden of England, it is a renowned Kent tourist attraction. The National Fruit Collection holds over 320 varieties of cherry.  

Their new Kent fruit and local produce festivals and food events make a fun family day out, with activities, stalls and demonstrations for all ages. You can also enjoy a live band, a summer bar, cooking demos, horticultural talks, static falconry display, gun dog display, children’s activities, miniature railway, BBQ, orchard tractor trailer tours and walks, horse drawn tours, archery, a craft market and more.

The festival activities change depending on the season, but these are the sort of things to expect:

Taste the different fruit varieties and the products made from them. Take fruit varieties home (when in season). Visit the beautiful orchards. Hear the stories and history of the fruit trees from the Orchard Tour guides. Or listen while enjoying an informative tractor trailer ride. Discover local Kent crafts, and talk to the craftsmen. Buy Kent local produce and plants from the plant centre. Seasonal cooking cookery demos, Best of all, taste the food! Take home new recipes for you to try with the fruits in season. Experience a fun trip on the Faversham mini railway – open for rides at weekends & most bank holidays. Have a home-made tea.
