21-22 May 2011, 10am-5pm, Hardwick Hall, Doe Lea, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S44 5QJ
Over 100 food and drink stalls and all the ingredients you need for a great family day out; arts and crafts, children’s activities such as face painting and a bouncy castle or you can picnic on the grass whilst listening to the live music.
The 2011 Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair, organised by Derbyshire County Council, is being held in the beautiful surroundings of Hardwick Hall. Last year the event attracted over 10,000 visitors, who were able to taste and buy from the wide range of local producers and suppliers.
Over 100 food and drink stalls will be housed within large marquees, so even if the British weather lets us down visitors to the event can peruse the goodies in comfort.
Visitors will have the opportunity to watch cookery demonstrations from celebrity chefs Simon Rimmer, resident chef on BBC2’s ‘Something for the Weekend’ and Dean Edwards from ITV’s ‘Daybreak’ and Martin Dorey, who will be showing how to cook in the great outdoors. Renowned local chefs will also be
demonstrating their signature dishes.
Entry: Adults: £4, Concessions: £2, Children under 16 enter for free. Free Shuttle Bus from Chesterfield Tourist Information Centre. More info: www.derbyshirefoodfestival.co.uk
